As for myself, I'm a winner of the Conception Arts Showcase Award, and an internationally published photographer residing in Southern California specializing in Fine Art Portraiture. Life changes helped me fulfill my dream of pursuing photography full-time after I completed chemotherapy treatment. With a grateful heart & in the spirit of healing, I relinquish the fear that long held me back from living behind the lens and loving those in front of it.

I'm Harlan Lovings III, the founder of 1831 Media, my passion is visual storytelling. I started my career as a freelance videographer, producing videos for individuals and small businesses in my local community of San Diego, CA. Currently I have a degree in Film, Television and Media & I've developed a reputation for delivering exceptional video content that exceeds client expectations. I founded 1831 Media to create impactful visuals, and inspire change that reflects freedom, liberation, and the power of visual storytelling through increased representation for marginalized communities. It is an empowering experience when clients have the freedom to express their message and reach their audience in a influential manner.
